- Responsible for producing material for Training, Internal Communications and marketing
- Introduced 24/7 callout service for producing broadcast quality material for the media. This led to BBC, ITV and local radio / papers regularly publishing my footage

- Taught Studio Operations, Camera and Edit (Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere)
- Demonstrated Studio Operations, Camera and Edit
- Completed part finished studio build, and implemented systems for teaching the different job roles. Wrote up handouts and supported news days, commissioned and designed sets.

- Produced a daily one minute news wrap (i.e. BBC3 60 seconds) and separate weather
- VJ one day per week for the weekly ½ hour news magazine: ‘Passionate About Oxfordshire’
- Produced/presented factual programmes i.e. two series of cookery programme ‘Curry on Kutis’

- Executive Producer of all output – using hourly local news as the hub that led to locally produced, relevant factual programming
- Trained and mentored journalists as they came direct from college into a very busy newsroom
- Managed studio operations and 37 staff across both cities
- Responsible for implementation and management of Health & Safety for studios and VJs
- Produced/presented/shot/edited ½ hour location based series of eight business programmes called ‘Venture’. Each week a different business on the South Coast came under the spotlight from a tiny Sandwich shop to the international company ‘Russ Berrie’
- Developed partnership working with the Southampton Solent University
March 02 - Sept 02 Deputy Head of Broadcast Local Broadcasting Group, TV Local Bristol
- Took part in lobbying for the future of local television at parliamentary level. This culminated with a presentation to a cross party group of MP’s/Lords in the Houses of Parliament. Baroness Howe (then chair of the Broadcasting Standards Commission) was most impressed by the professional experience that our staff gained as they came from college and went on to other broadcasters
- Project managed transmission chain build and produced documentary discussing the cities issues
- Set-up partnership working with local university – training / programming
April 00 - March 02 Head of News Local Broadcasting Group, Taunton Television
- Instrumental in the development of local television news - setting up a template that has been used all over the country.
- Broke many important stories both local and national:
- Followed a mother who lobbied parliament for a change in the law of domestic abuse. Her son-in-law left her daughter unable to communicate, move, or swallow unaided.
- One of the first reporters on the scene of the Oxford ‘barbecue murders’ – not long after the Police had allowed the ambulance crews to attend the three victims
- Followed the Fox Hunting Debate on Exmoor pre-act producing a controversial piece that showed that local people and businesses in Exford did not rely on hunting. The hotel, petrol station and stables were all owned and staffed by people from outside the area. The owners of the local shop were more interested in their customers being taken by large supermarkets
